1 – A Very Human Future – Rohit Talwar et al. A thorough consideration of the future of digital technologies but with an unusual approach. That is, it emphasis how these technologies will affect us as human beings.

2 – Bold – Peter Diamandis & Steven Kotler. A classic “written as both a manifesto and a manual for today’s exponential entrepreneur.” A great book on how and how we need to think exponentially, not linearly. Especially applicable to the current exponential coronvirus situation.

3 – Non Obvious Megatrends – Rohit Bhargava. Too many “trends” are so obvious that they offer little competitive advantage! Learn how to gain a competitive advantage from the non-obvious trends or “signals” of the future.

4 – The Inevitable: Understanding the 12 technological Forces That Will Shape Our Future – Kevin Kelly. This book is interesting in that it focusses on how technological forces rather than individual technologies will determine the future. That’s why he makes the claim to predicitng an “inevitable” future and neatly side steps the rule that no one can predict THE future!

5 – Thinking About the Future – Andy Hines. If you want an in-depth look at how strategic foresight works then this is the book for you! A detailed “how to” for newcomers and professionals alike who want to apply foresight strategies to their organisations.
